No surprise here. Communication is #1 in all relationships. Sincere, open, supportive and timely.
Some ideas to enhance communication.
1. Schedule at call, meeting or in some cases a “summit” 😉
2. Go old-school and make that call not an email or a text. Treat this call like you are reaching out to one of your bestie/buds.
3. Listen and Understand. Resist the temptation to chime in, pause and listen. Where is your client’s head? Understanding begins with listening. Ask questions.
4. Re-cap. Simple and to the point. And always ask “anything else we need to cover?”
