Food / Shopping
Whether it’s restaurant row in Lafayette with new and exciting cuisine or family dining, you have a lot to choose from. The town of Orinda and Theatre Square offer many dining choices; in Moraga, the newly opened Canyon Club Brewery is one of several tasty eateries in Lamorinda. Looking for a more urban restaurant feel? Then head to downtown Walnut Creek where the choices are endless.
If you like to cook or barbeque and appreciate gourmet foods, visit Diablo Foods or Whole Foods in Lafayette. As for threads (trendy or affordable) look no further than Lafayette’s Mt. Diablo Boulevard or head to Walnut Creek’s Broadway Plaza for a full range of high-end and well-priced clothing shops.

Acalanes Union High School District operates four traditional high schools. All four of them placed in the Top 100 for Best High Schools in California, according to Niche.com. One made the Top 5.
The percentage of students achieving proficiency in Math is 80% (which is higher than the California state average of 38%).
The percentage of students achieving proficiency in Reading/Language Arts is 83% (which is higher than the California state average of 48%).
